T.E.A.R Paragraph on the Road; The Boy

In the novel The Road,by Cormac McCarthy, the boy is seen as a well behave, mature kid. Many kids in his age group(8-10) wouldn't exactly know how to react to this post apocaplitical era, they would panic making it impossible to help them survive. The Boy tends to be very grateful to still be alive despite the conditions he has been forced to live under. even though the boy is found to be mature for his age, we cant forget he his a child and certain journeys throughout the novel point that out. An example of this would be wen fear shows up. After the boy encounter the slaughter house, he became afraid and begged his father not to go up into any cellars. he also had much fear of dying, he wold constantly ask the men whether they would die soon or if they were dying at the moment. the boy is humble and innocent. throughout the story as he and the man come across shelter and food, the boy thinks of the people who are on the road with no food or shelter to find. he also thinks about how wrong it is to just take upon someone else house without permission. The Boy thanks the people whose food he and the man have found throughout the journey,"the man was about to speak when he said: Dear people, thank you for all this food and stuff. We know that you saved it for yourself and if you were here we wouldn't eat it no matter how hungry we were and we're sorry that you didn't get to eat it and we hope that you're safe in heaven with God.". This shows the boys morals, instead of thanking god for having food in his plate he thanks the people who the food was intended to be for. At the same time the boy shows compassion for the family, he apologized for them not having the chance to enjoy a meal. Another area in which in which in shows he is still a child, is wen he throws tantrums. For instance like any kid in his shoes would, he cried oftentimes. All the things that highlight the boys childish moves are also the ones that show the boys kindness, maturity, and innocents.

Positive: Good evidence, stays on topic, answers
    question
Negative: needs more analysis, too much evidence, needs to clean up on grammar and syntax
    4/9 Good Fight!
