  1. In the novel, "A Thousand Splendid Suns", by Khaled Hosseini, Hossenini used two different individuals in order to elaborate on the fact how life in Afghanistan is no "walk in the park" especially for women. Both these women had a very difficult life filled with strife, depression, anger, hate, and hardship. In the end, what was revealed was that unfufillment for the future had always tied down these two women. Mariam and Laila had unsatisfaction throughout the whole entire novel, however this never stopped them to look for that "fufillment." In conclusion, Hosseini's main point was that even if one door closes, another door full of hope and "light" is waiting on the other side.

  2. In the novel "A Thousand Splendid Suns" the author, Khaled Hosseini used two different woman to get his point across on how women are viewed in Afghanistan. both Laila and Mariam faced horrible expiriences that developoed through their childhood. As time went by they both kept hitting bumbs in the road and found it normal. This gets one of Hosseinis point across on how if one is used to being tossed around they wont stand up for when they are being dug under ground.
